Pinatubo Seamless Boxer Briefs

I’m an active guy and work as a mechanic at a power plant so I needed something that fit that life style. After looking for 7” inseam underwear that won’t ride up and that stay in place, I landed on the 7” inseam lulu lemon all in motion. While waiting on them to arrive I decided to try the Krakatoa pinatubo as well and compare them. They both arrived the same day. I tried the lulu lemon on the first day and I was impressed. They seam to stay put and they were very comfortable. In fact had I not tried the Krakatoa pinatubo I would have stopped there. Day 2 I tried the Krakatoa and instantly realized I as glad that I decided to compare these 2. There is a significant difference between them and the lulu’s. First the ball sack and junk cradle is instantly noticeable and comfortable. The lulus weren’t uncomfortable but with the Krakatoas there was no sack sticking to your legs, no feeling like your sack is smashed to your body. It’s like your sack has its own area that is simply more comfortable than anything I’ve ever felt. 0 ball adjusting through the day. Next the quality of material is noticeable not by large margins but it is noticeable. Next the waist band is soft and comfortable but also rigid, if that makes sense. Like it doesn’t fold on you. Lastly, this one shocked me. I didn’t really think a horizontal fly would be life changing, boy was I wrong. Why at 42 years old am I just now finding out that a horizontal fly feels so easy and so nice? I will be buying more…

I was looking for underwear with horizontal fly, soft material, waistband that did not roll. Found the requirements met with the Pinatubo boxer briefs. Love em. I hopefully will update after a few washes for how they hold up after several laundry cycles. Thank you Alex and team for providing an awesome manly product.

I'm an old guy (69 at the time I wrote this) and have been wearing boxer briefs for decades. I used to just buy whatever was available at the local stores, and those were okay. Not great, since they were often tight in the groin. (Seriously, who designed those? What man wants a groin that's tight, and likely to get tighter with laundry shrinkage.) I discovered more thoughtfully designed boxer briefs through online retailers like Bombas and others whose names have faded from memory. I was about to order a new set of boxer briefs from Bombas when I stumbled across a Krakatoa ad online. (Facebook finally being useful, for once.) I checked out the site and liked the option to order a single test pair. Great idea, guys!

I ordered the test pair (obviously), even though I was initially skeptical of the horizontal fly. First, the horizontal fly is genius. I don't know if that's a Krakatoa original or not, but I love it. It's far easier to use than the traditional fly, including being less constricting. (When you get to my age, it doesn't take much to cut off the flow.) The material is extraordinarily soft, as advertise, and the briefs fit well. One design element that helped convince me to place an order was the claim that the waistband wouldn't fold over, like it does in other briefs. I hate that. And the box briefs deliver on that promise. I immediately ordered 7 more pairs.

If you like boxer briefs, give this pair a try. They're the best I've ever worn.

I’ve had a lot of different pair of underwear and as I traveled the world of boxer briefs I’ve had some winners and duds. More duds than I’d care to admit. The Krakatoa line of underwear has been a true standout. I’ve had other modal cotton but these have been the most comfort for all my parts. The hand feel and wear feel are phenomenal. The legs never have ride up issues and I feel well contained when moving or active. I’ve regretted some other purchases but I will never regret these. The only regret is that I didn’t find them sooner.
