Vesuvius Sports Boxer

As always, Krakatoa knocks it out of the park. Whether you're swinging a big bat or just have big baseballs, these are made for you. The Vesuvius line is the best pouch of any pouch-styled underwear that I've tried (and I've tried many). The bottom seem is pushed further back and lets everything just fall into place. It's the closest to feeling like you're freeballing. I have a few pairs of the longer Vesuvius, but was happy they made a middle length, and there's still zero issue with it rolling up. As always, the Krakatoa fabrics are comfortable and the construction is solid. Plenty of stretch in these even when there's some unexpected excitement. I submitted a nearly identical review for the Vesuvius Trunks, but I find that I like the Vesuvius Sports Boxer more than the trunks because of the added leg coverage, which prevents chafing.

I’ve now ordered from Krakatoa 4-5 times. With each iteration they just keep improving!

The pouch on the Vesuvius line is superior to other brands (and earlier products from Krakatoa) because of how deep it is, and how far it extends toward the rear, back behind your balls. I find that my anatomy stays inside the pouch no matter which position I’m sitting or standing in, or how actively I am moving. That’s just not true of all but one other brand of pouch-style undies that I have found. The others I have tried are great for standing and walking, but as soon as I sat down or started moving around or bending at the hips to the extreme I’d fall out of the pouch and lose the benefit of having it. The comfort of the pouch is so great, especially while sitting down! It’s so nice to have a pouch that keeps things separated, yet supported 100% of the time, in all positions.

Other reasons why I love ‘em; The fit and finish is superior, the feel of the fabric is soft and supple, yet supportive, I don’t even notice the seams, and the waistband feels great and never rolls. Might be TMI, but there is ample room to accommodate “episodic growth” 😈 when things get exciting. No more feeling smashed / trapped / bent at a weird angle. And lastly, I love how sexy they make me feel….and look. Everything…

I stopped wearing underwear about 20 years ago because I could never find a brand/pair that I wanted to wear on a daily basis. They were always too tight, squishing down my girthy bulge into a flat hot pocket. Sure… if I was dressed nice for a business dinner, wedding, a formal event, or in a suit or some slacks I would wear/tolerate the underwear I had. But if I was in daily jeans or shorts I’d be free swinging. I tried various styles and fabrics and brands over the years. Always just throwing them out, until now. I then discovered Krakatoa and ordered a pair for every day of the week. My Krakatoa underwear are, without question, the only underwear I’ve enjoyed wearing on a daily basis in over 20 years. I’m a muscular 5’9” and 238 lbs. and have a 36” waste with 29” thighs. I wear the Vesuvius 1.5” in an XL and the Vesuvius 5” in an XL. And I genuinely can’t imagine wearing any other underwear again. Thanks for helping “my boys” find a home again.
